I need help

Hey fellow Mamas-I need some advice! Kendall has been getting really bad diaper rash lately. I have tried numerous creams and lotions, but, nothing is working! Any suggestions???
(So far I have tried Desitin, Butt Paste, and A+D Vitamin cream...)
Thank you so much!

  1. I heard cornstarch is good, cheap too. I like to use Lansinoh wipes and powder or cornstarch, something that is unscented and won't sting. I think the paste/creams can keeps things so moist down there it defeats the purpose. Let the air get to it too, diaper free always helps but can be messy!

  2. I agree to try to air it out! Also, have you tried Aquaphor yet? I think thats how you spell it. I use it for everything.

  3. Ok,I know this sounds weird but Crisco is amazing!!!! My peditriction recommended it and it works wonders. He told me to use it on everything...her butt, cradle cap, dry skin, even your sore nipples...you should try it..I hope her bottom feels better.

  4. speaking of crisco...HAHA. I forgot one of the tips the midwives here told me - stop using wipes for a few days. Instead get water & put a little bit of olive oil in it. I just put it in a jar & use cotton pads/balls. This also is good for newborns! I didnt use wipes on Strider for a few weeks :)

  5. Ok ladies thanks soooo much for all the tips! I tried the cornstarch (no luck) and aquaphor was no help either (that was her pediatricians first choice too, and it always works wonders!) She had a doctors appt this past monday, and turns out, she had a yeast infection (not the internal kind, but the rash was an infection) SO he perscribed some magic miracle cream and voila- all better. If only I were a pediatrician.....
