I need help

Hey fellow Mamas-I need some advice! Kendall has been getting really bad diaper rash lately. I have tried numerous creams and lotions, but, nothing is working! Any suggestions???
(So far I have tried Desitin, Butt Paste, and A+D Vitamin cream...)
Thank you so much!

.Kid Crafts.

How cute is this little kid craft? I found this website today and she lists a million fun and cheap ways to entertain the kiddos. I thought it would be cute to frame afterwards!?!? Have fun!

You can find the tutorial for that and a ton of others at No Time For Flashcards!

more info

I am so backing this toy...Next post I will do ALL of my research before posting, so I dont have to double post (sorry).  Just read that it is made with 100% safe natural rubber & food grade paint!  Apparently a winner with Nicole Richie & Isla Fisher too :)

My Mom got this toy for Strider as an "airplane" toy, on our way back over here.  She told me she had heard they were a big deal & all babies LOVE to chew on them.  I thought they looked more like a dog chew toy and was a little reluctant to give it to him.  He now is in love with this thing.  We dont go anywhere without it.  Katie, I am sure Lila is right around the corner from teething as well...This thing is awesome.  I have given him other "teethers" and he usually doesnt hold interest long and ends up dropping it.  Not Sophie.  So I just googled and found out there is a whole Sophie (which we had named Raffi, not knowing her real name was Sophie) world out there - with all things Sophie.  Go here to check more stuff out, its worth it!

ps.  I think my Mom got this little guy (or girl, haha) at the Wee Loft in Dana Point, although I am not 100% sure...

On the town!

Looking for something great, fabulous or wonderful to do? Want to feel like a woman again? Want to be completely spoiled rotten? Who wouldn't!?

I had the lucky chance to find just what we all could use.

It was my 27th birthday on 3/10 and all I wanted was a nice romantic dinner with my hubby, no kids, no family just me and him. He planned the perfect night.

Studio at the Montage Resort, Laguna Beach. Check it out, plan a special night and you will find yourself feeling like one sexy motha in no time!

Here's a quick review of our night:

Front row, ocean/sunset view

Non-alcoholic Mojito (cause I'm 9mo prego)

Hot olive bread with the BEST butter I've ever had (I think the cow was in the kitchen it was that fresh)

Asparagus Soup with truffle oil, heaven in my mouth, compliments of the chef.

Beet salad for me, prawns for the man, both to die for!

More Mojitos

Braised Short Ribs...melt in your mouth good and Atlantic Sea bass better than we've ever had.

Butterscotch Pudding with Banana Fritters and Coconut Passion Fruit Cream Cake for dessert.

Let me tell you what girls it was a night to remember! 3 hours of dinner and conversation at a swanky resort with my favorite person and I am feeling ALL woman!

You should enjoy a night there too!

yummy yummy green beans

What you'll need:
Fresh green beans
pine nuts (almonds or walnuts can work too)
shaved Parmesan cheese
Caramelized Balsamic Vinaigrette

Add beans to boiling water - and cook about 2 min
Rinse beans with cold water immediately, to stop them from cooking
Toast pine nuts for a few min (just in a pan, on the stove, until they start to darken)
Add beans, nuts & cheese to bowl and drizzle with the balsamic
So yummy

Did you know I make bows???

OK- this one is just for Jill- sorry for being a slacker :)
About 6 months ago, I asked my good friend where she got her adorable barrettes for her twin daughters. She told me she buys them at some posh kid boutique in Rancho. Being the nosey person I am, I asked her how much she paid- I just about threw up when she told me 12 bucks a piece! Are you kidding me??? I thought to myself- "I can make those!" And that's what I did.

I make clips and barrettes for all hair types. I make small bows and large bows that clip onto headbands for babies, small alligator clip barrettes, and clippies for newborns or finer hair. Seriously if you want any, or know anyone who may like some, let me know- I love arts and crafts at naptime!

.To Pierce or Not to Pierce...

(clearly not mine...)

I have been in debate with myself over the last 15 months on whether or not to pierce holes through my sweet little munchkin's perfect ears. At times I think it's barbaric, and other times my keep-it-stylin'-mommy side kicks in and says, "Beauty takes pain." I have to admit, on more than one occassion my little darling has been mistaken for a..... gasp...... boy. Even the Dr. that delivered her continues to call her a boy. It's devastating and I can't help but feel sorry for the little squirt, knowing she has no clue people are questioning her gender as she picks her nose and wipes the content onto her PINK Converse shoes.

I think it's ridiculously adorable when little babies have their ears pierced. But there's still a part of me that wants to savor this magical girly event for when she's older and can be excited for it (or, use it as collateral for her to be a good girl for the next 13 years like MY mom did to ME).

So I ask you moms....... PIERCE or NO PIERCE???

And... if you HAVE had it done on your child..... comments?? Did it hurt them?? Did it get infected?? How about them pulling on it...?? Help!
~jill

I don't know about you......

But I thinks aprons are adorable. And, I have wanted one for a really long time. I've held out to find the perfect one and I think I found it. How cute is this??? I think I'm gonna buy it.

yes I am blogging about soap

I am the girl that cannot go into Sephora because I will no doubt get a headache from the smells.  I cannot walk by the perfume dept in ANY department store.  My lotion & deodorant are unscented.  And my shampoo is always minty and clean smelling.  Never fruity.  I do wear Kai oil as my fragrance, but thats as far as I go...Therefore my favorite thing in the world is the Trader Joes Pure Castille soap.  You can wash/clean anything and everything with it.  Since I have to wash my hands a bagillion times a day, this soap doesnt dry them out.  Plus I can wash binkies and sippies with it - without harming them with nasty chemicals.  This stuff is the bomb!

With that said - I was at my friends house the other day (yes I have a friend here) and she had this hand soap in her bathroom.  I am obsessed with this stuff now "Palmolive Naturals, Pomegranate & Mango"...Not sure if we have it back at home, but if we do, go buy it cause its yummy!

(couldnt find a picture of the hand soap, but I am sure the shower gel is bomb too)
